Blogging Bookmarks: May Roundup Part 2

It’s that time of month again! Here are some posts I’d like to share with everyone. But before that, I have a wee-bit update on my end

large (2)

I’m not really feeling the blogging right now. I am not feeling well emotionally and I’m basically tired every day. I have no idea what’s wrong with me so I’m going to hold off on content because 1) I’m tired and 2) I haven’t watched much anime or read much manga in a few weeks and 3) I’m not keen on starting since I’m into something else now

I’ll still be reading blog posts but unless I’m working or sleeping, I’m probably just going to be exhausted, restless, and frustrated for some mysterious reason. That doesn’t mean I’m not creating content, it just means it’s taking me awhile to create it (so I figured I’d just put stuff on hold). As for the other blog, that one will still be active because I’m only doing one post a week and it’s there where my interests lie right now. Also there are just a string of posts that I’ve scheduled already so that’s been helpful (but once they run out I’ll officially be on hiatus)

Hopefully the content I have up on the blog entertains any of the newcomers while I’m out. Now then, for the fun stuff!

Doujima 2017

london

Looks like it’s convention season all around. Check out what Killua was up to at Dojima 2017 and the cosplays!! I’ve never attended a convention that has a huge artist space and hearing about it makes me want to go 😀

What’s In A Scene: Kaneki’s Transformation

london

It’s been awhile since I last read the first “series” of Tokyo Ghoul and I recently heard that TG:re is over. It’s an older fandom but it’s nice to still see some analysis stuff going around about the series. One of the series that I love seeing analysis posts for actually, so I was really glad to see this! Talks about the scene right after Jason has tortured Kaneki

Strolling Around Anime Central

london

Because conventions are awesome! This was their first time at ACEN and figured it would be nice to have an unbiased opinion about the con (plus the nostalgia, ACEN was also my first convention). Super glad they enjoyed their visit, and yes you guys should come and visit ACEN if you’re in the area. Two people have just recommended it 😉

Fantasy Friday-Anime Fantasy Films That Will Knock Your Socks Off (I mean…If You’re Wearing Any)

london

The title caught my attention! And when I looked inside to see Wolf Children in there I knew there must be something good on the list (lol!). All of these look so good, possibly because they are, possibly because the images/gifs were correctly chosen. Either way I’ve added some new titles to my movie nights 😀

How ‘A Silent Voice’ succeeds at a difficult topic

london

I haven’t seen A Silent Voice yet but a lot of people have been talking about it recently. It’s one of those titles I’ve been meaning to pick up (since I know the manga is available). Still, it was nice to read this post to see what it’s about and how the show tackles bullying and suicide. I have some pretty high expectations when I do check it out

May Blog Tour “Strength”

white-background-2

And last but certainly not least, don’t forget to check out the May OWLS blog tour posts! There’s been some awesome content (as always). The tour ends today with a post by Lyn and our next Livestream will be on June 3rd at 8pm EST (7pm CST, 5pm PST). In the meantime, you all should check out our previous streams ^^

And those are all the posts I have for you all, but this time around I also invite everyone to check out some new bloggers in the anime community. Since most of the time I choose posts from people already in, I thought I’d go out and look for some new content.

  • Ryan Kopf: I actually checked this one out because I recognized the name as the person who organizes quite a few of the conventions out here near Chicago
  • Baitai Reflections: I didn’t want to make this posts list all about first time ACEN goers so I left this blogger’s post out but definitely check out their experience and future posts!
  • Van Delivering Stories: Seems like there’s going to be some creative stuff on here: blogging, stories, and art. Check it out (especially this very true otaku post)

What about you guys? Stumble across any interesting posts this month? Leave some links in the comments

      • Thank you as well 😉 I’m luckily feeling much better (just in time for Animecon which starts today 😊). I’m really looking forward to Train to Busan, which I will see tonight. Besides doing a post for Animecon 2017, I will be doing a seperate review for train to Busan, so I will definitely let you know 😀
