The Cornered Mouse Dreams of Cheese

While browsing some manga I happened to stumble upon this story Kyuuso wa Cheese no Yume o Miru and as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to read it! The only reason being that the mangaka was Mizushiro Setona, the creator of After School Nightmare. There’s also Sojou No Koi Wa Nido Haneru, the continuation of Kyuuso wa Cheese no Yume o Miru. The second can be read on MangaCat.me

Here we have Ootomo Kyouichi, a married guy who is constantly having affairs because he can’t say no to anyone, a bad habit that he’s had since his college years. One day his wife decides to hire an investigator named Wataru Imagase, to find out if Kyouichi is cheating on her. Continue reading

Blogging Bookmarks: May Roundup Part 2

It’s that time of month again! Here are some posts I’d like to share with everyone. But before that, I have a wee-bit update on my end

large (2)

I’m not really feeling the blogging right now. I am not feeling well emotionally and I’m basically tired every day. I have no idea what’s wrong with me so I’m going to hold off on content because 1) I’m tired and 2) I haven’t watched much anime or read much manga in a few weeks and 3) I’m not keen on starting since I’m into something else now Continue reading

A Series of Posts to Help You Get Ready for Your (Possibly) First Convention [part 2: Budget]

Hey guys! I hope you all enjoyed the con-season post from yesterday (if you’ve read it already, we’re moving pretty quickly here) where I talked about useful items to pack. But as I was typing it up, I realized that post was useful only if you already knew what convention you were going to attend. And then this post started to form in my head

This time I’ll be talking about things you might consider before deciding to attend a convention. Most of it relates back to budget, Enjoy! And if anyone has any more ideas for topics I should talk about, let me know in the comments section

A Series of Posts to Help You Get Ready for Your (Possibly) First Convention [part 1: Packing]

Hey guys! IT’S MAY, and what does that mean? Convention season for Crimson has started this month (this past weekend actually)! And by convention season I mean “convention season” since I’ve had to cut down quite a bit on my outings this year

And it’s actually because of that cut that I now have more time to sit down and pass on my infinite wisdom to all of you young con-grasshoppers. If anyone wants my credentials for these posts: I got none (jk jk, I have attended like 2 conventions in my life, that makes me an expert, right?)

Now this was going to be one post but as I got writing, I realized I had quite a bit to say, so we’re going to have a second part later on this week. Possibly on Friday as I sit down and cry about the fact I can’t be in CA for the Sherlock Convention #CRIES

[Netgalley] Manga Classics: Jane Eyre

I just had to check out another. This might be my last manga classics in awhile because I can only read so many (lol)

jKxwRP2

Jane Eyre is one of those classics that I’ve only heard of but never really got curious about. I’ve read Wuthering Heights by Charlotte Bronte but aside from that one book, I hadn’t really heard of this author’s name before Continue reading

[Netgalley] Manga Classics: Les Miserables

More manga to feed the soul (lol). So it’s been awhile since I last checked out a Manga Classics, possibly because I just haven’t been in the mood to read much. But recently I was bored and I thought I’d do some reading (and by some I mean a lot)

I decided to check out Les Miserables for a couple reasons. One is that I’ve seen this book all the time in the bookstores, have wanted to check it out, but it’s size always left me passing it up. Second is that I was really curious about the novel and Manga Classics has been a good way for me to learn about the story while still not knowing everything. Continue reading

OWLS Strength Blog Tour: Shirotani’s Mental Fortitude and Helping Hand (It’s OK to Need Help Sometimes)

Hey guys!

Welcome back to another OWLS post. It’s been awhile so I thought I’d go over what OWLS is, just in case anyone reading this is a newcomer. Back in December, a couple bloggers thought it’d be cool to team up and create a blogging group (credit for idea goes to OGZ) that did monthly blog tours (credit to Arria) where we would promote acceptance in the community for all individuals via anime and related fandoms

I think a lot of us mentioned that we didn’t just want to promote tolerance for minority groups, but acceptance. Personally, I wanted to share some of my thoughts on certain matters and learn from my fellow bloggers about theirs.

Our first tour was in January and we talked about Disruptors, which I think is one way to describe OWLS. Since then we’ve completed 4 tours and we’re now on our 5th one! And each time I think we’re getting better at what we set out to do Continue reading

Of Birthdays, Mother’s Day, and OWLS May Blog Tour Schedule

Hey guys! So we are now in May eherm the BEST month of the whole year. I take no arguments over this fact

tumblr_mj0ilwt6Wt1qeiz2eo1_500

Why is it the best month ever? Because I get to eat cake three times

I know, it’s amazing isn’t it. It’s the only month I can eat so many cakes and not get the whole ‘you’re eating too much junk’ talk. You see in May my family has 2 birthdays and then Mother’s Day! I’ll be making cheesecake and ordering some other kind of ‘real’ cake for the celebrations (oh snap, that mean’s it’s 6 cakes!!) Continue reading

Crimson’s Mini Con-season: What Conventions Am I Attending?

Hey guys! So this post is months late I believe. I know I usually post one of these at the beginning of the year because I already have most of my conyear planned out. Well, this year I was in a bit of a financial bind so it wasn’t until I got a job where I could definitely say if I could attend any conventions

And what conventions might that be? Well here are some “for sure” and “possibly” Continue reading

OWLS Colors Blog Tour: Crimson’s Upbringing and (Lack of) Connection to Colors

Hey guys! Hope you’ve all been enjoying all the OWLS posts this month (I know I have)

For this month we did a topic that a lot of our members were looking forward to. Two people that I can think of who were pretty excited about this month’s theme are Naja, who wrote about Killer Bee and the Shinobi of the Hidden Cloud Village, and Kat, who wrote about diversity in Bleach. For this blog tour I also noticed a lot of our members branching out of the anime fandom. For example, Arria wrote about live action movies, Lyn wrote about a South Korean webtoon, and Rai talked about Avatar

Me on the other hand. I was slightly nervous about the topic and for my tour stop I thought I’d do a little bit of “get to know me”, anime, and discussion post. Don’t worry, no baby pictures shall be disclosed in this post (hehehe) Continue reading
